V22 Precision Machining Center

The V22 precision machining center is designed to eliminate vibration, rotational deflection and thermal distortion to ensure precision, accuracy, reliability and excellent stability. Designed to machine complex materials, including ceramics, intricate cores and cavities, the V22 precision machining center offers a standard 8.5 kWcontinuous 40,000-rpm spindle that is complemented by Makino’s patented core-cooling and under-race lubrication system.

Machine construction features integrally casted slideways and no overhangs, providing excellent rigidity and dampening characteristics. The rapid traverse allows for fast cutting feeds, which boosts productivity by reducing out-of-cut time and increasing metal-removal rates.

The V22 table surface height of 900mm and swing control panel that rotates 180 degrees make operations seem exceptionally easy and effortless.

The machining area is ideal for small workpieces and the compact footprint wastes no floor space. Power consumption (15 kVA) is reduced by approximately half.

An optional hybrid automatic tool length measuring device uses the optimum methods to accurately measure and correct the tool tip position and that of the rotating spindle nose. This makes it possible to achieve superior machined surfaces with minimal level differences.
